Blue Vase and Zebra,
Watercolor
Jo Beth Gilliam
painted in oils from 1972-1985. In searching for different ways to express her
creative thoughts, she was introduced to watercolor. The moment the color
mixed on white paper, endless images have been released from mind to brush.
What began as a hobby has become a career. Through years of painting, her work
has been predominantly a loose impressionistic style, her definition of
watercolor. Jo Beth's work is available at several galleries and is on display
in public and private collections in the United States and Europe. This
colorful artist is convinced that this is the best medium for freedom and
spontaneity.
Jo Beth offers
watercolor workshops through-out the year at the Garden and Arts Center. She
is a well-respected and accomplished instructor. Check the
GAC Class Schedule for dates and times of upcoming
workshops.
